Back to School Essentials

Normally at this time, I am at the local teacher supply store or hitting up the back to school supply section at Target. I am usually searching for all the cute borders, posters, and school supplies. This year, my Back-to-School shopping looks a little different than it has in the past. Since my school is using both in person and online instruction this year, I made a list of essentials that I have recently bought to make the start of school run a little smoother.
1. Face masks: I recently bought a 10 pack from Old Navy for $25.00 (I love that they have the adjustable ear elastics)
2. Cleaning Wipes: Wipes are hard to find these days…I normally get the 3-pack from Target, but they were all out when I went last time. These are great for spills and for killing germs!
3. Hand Sanitizer: Need I say more?
4. Tissues/Paper Towels: I don't know about you, but my students go through tissues like it's their job! I’ll be keeping a box in every corner of the classroom this year.
5. Microphone: Since my school is doing both in class and online instruction, I’m looking into buying a microphone for the online streams and videos. If you have any suggestions, please send them my way!
What are your essentials for Back- to- School? Is your school online or in the classroom?
Over the next two weeks, I plan on working in the classroom to set up a positive and welcoming learning space. It is so important to provide not only a fun and exciting space for your students, but also a place where they feel comfortable and safe. Stay tuned for a tour of my classroom...COMING SOON!
